| The farm has been in our family since 1954
We started selling produce in the summer of 1980. It started out
with a picnic bench full of tomatoes, zucchini, and sweet corn. Over
the years many products have been added, and the picnic bench has been
replaced by a hay wagon with awning and two greenhouses to sell from.
Brumbaugh's Farm was instrumental in starting the Perkasie Farmers Market in 1991. We are still a member of that market and sell there every Saturday from 7:30am till Noon, June through October. In 1993 we started selling strawberries as Pick Your Own and pre-picked. This has become one of the busiest times of the year for us. The same year we started selling potted herbs which has been increasing each year with new varieties being added. A year later (1994) we started selling our own fresh cut asparagus. Today we sell a good selection of spring, summer and fall produce. Beautiful cut flowers are a growing part of our sales. Our greenhouses are full of bedding plants and beautiful hanging baskets. We continue our season with fall ornamentals and finish with beautiful hand made Christmas wreaths, swags, cemetery boxes and fresh cut Christmas trees. We look forward to adding new and interesting flowers and plants as well as new excellent tasting, healthy produce to our line of products in the years to come. |
