The Van de Sandt family in the Dutch Indies

In October 1998 Max van de Sandt and his family visited the coffee and rubber estate 'Sumber Manggis Kidul' at Dampit (East-Java, Indonesia). At the time when Indonesia was a Dutch colony (the East Indies) Constant van de Sandt (1875-1945) was the estate manager. During the Japanese occupation of the Indies (1942-1945) he died in an internment camp. An investigation has been started into the life, the work and the internment of Constant van de Sandt and his family.

Family Book

The Dutch Van de Sandt Foundation has decided to prepare a family book with the complete genealogy of the German/Dutch Van de Sandt family. The booklet on the oldest generations can be seen as a prepublication of that part of the family book.
